At Emergence, it is our privilege to celebrate the baptism of believers from time to time. In the past two years, over 60 people have been baptized at Emergence, and we're excited to share that we are celebrating this year's Baptism Service on Sunday, August 29 at 5pm.

Baptism is an outward symbol of something that happens inward in a person who trusts in Jesus Christ's work on the cross as their only way to be made right with God. Going under the water is a symbol of Christ's death and burial. Coming out of the water symbolizes His resurrection. Being baptized is something that a follower of Jesus should do--just as Jesus Himself was baptized, and commanded us to do.

Our baptism services happen at a local pool, and it is always a blast. For photos of past baptisms, check out the photo gallery. We're here to see lives changed by Jesus--and we love to celebrate when they do.
