Chapel Staffing Update

Dear Chapel Family,

This past week has been a very unusual one in the history of our church, as the Board has announced a reorganization of our ministries and staffing. Many, many lives have been impacted—not only the lives of staff whose positions have been eliminated or changed, but the lives of so many others who were ministered to by them. We have coveted and appreciated your prayers like never before, as we have all leaned on God to bring healing and lead us forward.

There are two updates that we need to inform you of.

In the email update that you received on Wednesday, we unintentionally failed to mention one change. The paid position of Choir Director, held by John Boronow, was eliminated. John’s leadership of the choir has been outstanding, and we are so thankful for the role he has played. We remain strongly committed to the value of our choir, and believe that it can be led on a volunteer basis.

In addition, there is an update on the newly created position of Pastor of Mobilization. As you may remember from the previous email, the goal of this position is to mobilize the Chapel family toward service in our church, community and world. After reflecting and praying about the decisions of this past week, the Board of Elders voted to offer this position of Pastor of Mobilization to Paul Rittinger. Paul has accepted that position, and we are thrilled that he will continue as part of our staff.

Please continue to pray for all those affected by the recent changes, and for God’s hand of blessing on our church.

 Serving with you,

 Pastor Dave
