It's Approved!!
What a great night we had!
Last night, by an overwhelming majority of 93% of the membership, the motion to approve the Reaching Further campaign passed--to loud applause.
What it means for us as a church is that we can now begin the process of moving forward on all aspects of the campaign.
A couple of key dates to keep in mind:
Sunday August 23 - Intention-to-Give
This Sunday, all attendees at all campuses will receive an intention-to-give card. The hope is that each of us will prayerfully consider what God would have us sacrificially give to see the campaign move forward. This will take all of us coming together on mission to see it through.
After you have discussed it with your family, fill out the card and bring it with you to services on August 30th.
Sunday August 30 - Firstfruits Sunday
A week after the materials have been distributed, they will be collected in a firstfruits offering in all services. This will be the first opportunity we have to give toward the campaign!
As a reminder, much of the timeline for this project depends on a large portion of the funds being collected up front. We cannot sign a lease or have construction begin before we have funds in hand. As you consider your timing of your gift, please keep this in mind--the sooner, the better!
